The Wrote & The Writ

This post's title is after a song I like by Johnny Flynn. He's a British folksy musician and singer. If you like Mumford & Sons, you'd probably like him. He tours with them sometimes. Even though this isn't the type of music I typically listen to, I'm drawn to his style and I actually bought two of his albums on iTunes. He also happens to look like the Peeta in my mind (post Hunger Games, I think?), which certainly doesn't hurt.

To me, this song is about how what we write needs to be real and true to what we'd say in person to someone. It reminds me of some people I know. They'll write the unkindest things imaginable in letters, but in person, they're all politeness. In the words of Johnny Flynn, "Don't say in a letter what you can't in my ear."
